Rinse it, dry it, fold it
That is the whole routine.
Three things, none of them hard
RINSE WITH FRESH WATER
Salt is what dulls fabric over time, not sunlight. A rinse after a salt pool matters more than keeping it in the shade. Chlorine the same.
STAND IT ON ITS SIDE TO DRY
Water runs off the fabric rather than pooling. Olefin is quick drying, so it does not take long.
PUT IT AWAY DRY
Deflated, it packs back into its box and stores on a shelf, not in the garage rafters. Away dry means it comes out the same next season.
What actually wears a float out
Almost never the sun. Usually salt left to dry on the fabric, or being put away damp.
SALT AND CHLORINE
Both are fine. What you do not want is salt left to dry in the weave, so rinse it off and the fabric holds its colour.
MOULD AND MILDEW
Olefin resists both, but nothing survives being packed away wet for a winter. Stand it on its side, let it drain, and you will not have the problem.
OVER WINTER
Deflate it and store it somewhere dry and out of direct sun. It packs back down to the size it arrived in.
There is a repair kit in the box
Small punctures in the bladder can be patched with the kit supplied. If it cannot be repaired, email us at info@poolboycollective.com. Full warranty terms are on the warranty page, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply at all times.
