Yes. A PVC float heats up in the sun and clings to bare skin. Olefin is a woven textile, so it stays cool to the touch and feels like upholstery rather than plastic. It is the thing most people notice before anything else.

No. The Olefin outer sheds water rather than absorbing it, and the TPU core inside is completely non-absorbent. It weighs the same at the end of a long day as it did at the start.

The Floata-Round is 140cm across, which is a wide base and far harder to tip than a narrow float. It handles the usual poolside enthusiasm.

These are lifestyle products for relaxing on. They are not lifesaving flotation devices and should never be used as one.

Stand it on its side to drain, rinse with fresh water and let it air dry before rolling. Olefin is quick drying and resists mould and mildew, so as long as it goes away dry it comes out the same next season.

Yes, and chlorine. Salt is what dulls fabric over time rather than sunlight, so a rinse with fresh water after a salt pool matters more than keeping it in the shade.

Because a forty dollar float is printed PVC and this is solution-dyed Olefin over a welded TPU core. The colour runs through the fibre instead of sitting on it, the seams are welded instead of glued, and there is no adhesive join waiting to let go.
